Immediately after the cessation of the Second World War the society started to feel that the world’s basic rules are simple and coherent . Both global politics and social relations were relying on the principles of gain , good change , belief in the logical , understanding , technological progress , and the knowledge of how to ground any activity from a rational point of view . Nevertheless , starting from the second half of the 60’s, the world has begun to degrade and currently , 40 years later , we find ourselves in a different type of actuality .
We without any problems notice all innovations which are given us by new technology, but we barely realize the fact that there are some concepts standing behind those inventions . The core of the future adjustment was first tracked by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived anteceding their time – poets and authors. Among the many authors whose poems have served for amusement , there have been several of them who have given people a new vision . They have better than others other authors created and worded new thoughts and have ultimately molded a new intellectual and perceptual analysis of the future. They have noticed challenges in the mundane of our lives and have unveiled a set of problems, which were dragging on without being noted . They have aided us to realize the new problems , and have given us new hope .
These were the authors who have formed the vision of the entire generation, which has live through the times of drastic change; change, which was seen as disarray at the beginning of the 21 first century. They have turned our attention to the most burning issues of the last epoch ; those problems , which the humankind , having survived through the global wars and unseen sufferings , was unwilling to deal with . Finally they were voicing the main dilemma “What will our future be like?”
In this paper we will name some of the most well known authors of the last century. They have all quite affected literature of their epoch, have depicted tendencies and difficulties which were relevant to their countries and the period they existed in, and have motivated the audience meditate on the running system of values, having them realize that it is far away from being flawless. One of the most exciting angle of their writing is that in mostly they have awake the audience attention in books and written works. from this angle one of the most exciting success writings is that of a brilliant author John Cheever.
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be considered special as she has found herself to be the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by authoring fairytales. She is today spending a noticeable part of her earnings on charity, confronting poverty and diseases. The plot of the book was invented while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first agreed to publish her book, she has awarded her 1500 pounds together with a loving piece of advice — to look for a permanent job. He was hesitant of the idea that the young writer would be able to make a living off of writing books. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having published a series of amazing fairytales, she has made the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading.
This work is not able to name and more or less exactly list all authors who have provided their gift to the today’s literature. They have been working and presenting ideas directly into the thoughts of the millions, and in this way were shaping the future. therefore, as we can see, these writers were not writing for relaxation only, but they were also playing a considerable role in shaping the culture and the sights of a society of the 20th century.
